Our summer beach clean collected 1.79kg of rubbish from the beach itself, largely small plastic fragments. the collection data has been submitted to National MCS. In addition members of the Scouts also cleaned the car park area, and a section of the foreshore behind the beach itself, areas which yielded very considerable amounts of rubbish, most left by visitors to the beach.

The beach clean was run in conjunction with the local Soroptomists group, and supported by staff from Lancaster’s Williamson Park, and 53rd Lancaster Scouts.
